Nous tenons à vous présenter nos plus plates excuses pour cet accueil.  Malgré les apparences, nous sommes bienveillants et accueillants. Nous ne chassons pas les visiteurs ne voulant pas s’acquitter du modeste prix d’entrée à coup de fusil. Ce sont sans doute des vandales ignorant où se situe le plus proche stand de tirs ou des chasseurs ne sachant pas tirer qui ont perforé de la sorte le panneau d’information sur le parking des ruines. 

Ce panneau n’appartient pas à l’asbl Les Amis de Poilvache mais bien au DNF  qui avait déjà repéré ce méfait durant ses rondes quotidiennes. Nous l’avons contacté il y a plusieurs mois. Comme vous le savez, les procédures administratives prennent parfois du temps et des chemins détournés. Nous espérons donc que le panneau sera remplacé avant la prochaine saison de chasse prévue lors de ce que nous appelons encore … l’hiver 2026-2027.

Bienvenue donc aux ruines médiévales de Poilvache dans la Réserve naturelle domaniale de Champalle !

Wij bieden onze oprechte excuses aan voor deze ontvangst. Ondanks de schijn zijn wij vriendelijk en gastvrij. Wij jagen bezoekers die weigeren de bescheiden toegangsprijs te betalen niet weg met een geweer. Het waren ongetwijfeld vandalen, die ofwel niet wisten waar de dichtstbijzijnde schietbaan was, ofwel jagers die niet kunnen schieten, die het informatiepaneel op de parkeerplaats van de ruïnes hebben beschadigd.

Dit paneel is niet van de non-profitorganisatie Les Amis de Poilvache, maar van de DNF (Departement Natuur en Bossen), die de schade al tijdens haar dagelijkse patrouilles had opgemerkt. Wij hebben hen enkele maanden geleden gecontacteerd. Zoals u weet, kunnen administratieve procedures soms langdurig zijn en omwegen nemen. Wij hopen daarom dat het paneel vóór het volgende jachtseizoen, dat momenteel gepland staat voor wat wij nog steeds de winter van 2026-2027 noemen, vervangen zal worden.

We wish to offer our sincerest apologies for this reception. Despite appearances, we are kind and welcoming. We do not chase away visitors who refuse to pay the modest entrance fee with a shotgun. It was undoubtedly vandals, either unaware of the location of the nearest shooting range or hunters who don’t know how to shoot, who damaged the information panel in the parking lot of the ruins.

This panel does not belong to the non-profit organization Les Amis de Poilvache, but rather to the DNF (Department of Nature and Forests), which had already noticed this damage during its daily patrols. We contacted them several months ago. As you know, administrative procedures can sometimes be lengthy and take circuitous routes. We therefore hope that the panel will be replaced before the next hunting season, which is currently scheduled for what we still call… winter 2026-2027.
